Tiffany V. Colbert was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011 and currently holds a position as an Assistant Public Defender under Robert Wesley, Public Defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orlando, FL. Colbert will be launching The Colbert Law Firm on May 16, 2013.
Colbert earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in May, 2011, and was named to the 2011 Who’s Who Among American Collegs and Universities. In August 2010, her peers elected her to serve as one of three law students in the nation to represent the American Bar Association Law Student Division as a Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates.
Colbert graduated with her B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2008 where she also received a Specialization Certificate in Litigation and Advocacy, the Mock Trial Team at UCF’s Chief Justice John Marshall Award for dedicated service and leadership, and was a multi-recipient of the President’s Honor Roll. Colbert is currently an associate coach of the Mock Trial Team at UCF.
Colbert has been published in the American Bar Association Student Lawyer Magazine and the American Bar Association Young Advocates newsletter. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, The Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Colbert was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She attended high school at West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida and was a first generation college graduate and attorney.
